Is the Vietnam UD1 pathway operational in 2026?
The dated July 27–28, 2026 operational briefing describes an execution posture at that time. It is historical, not confirmation of current operating practice; before treating a case as file-ready, confirm route fit, the competent filing channel, sponsor or IFC readiness, and current document requirements.

Who may qualify for Vietnam UD1?
Eligibility depends on the applicable legal route and supporting evidence. Law 118/2025/QH15 provides the general UĐ1/UĐ2 framework; general UĐ1 eligibility depends on the applicable high-quality digital-technology or other legally preferential basis, sponsor, and evidence. IFC-specific categories such as critical investors, experts, managers, and highly qualified workers must be assessed under the separate instrument that applies to the IFC case; a job title or profile alone does not establish eligibility.

Where can a Vietnam UD1 application be filed?
Vietnam's standard e-visa portal (evisa.gov.vn) is not presented here as the Vietnam UD1 filing channel. Current guidance distinguishes IFC-linked authority processing from sponsor-led Form NA-02 preparation; confirm the competent authority, accepted channel, and whether VNeID Level-2 is required for the specific route.

Are validity and tax benefits the same for every UD1 route?
No. General talent-residency and IFC-linked provisions have different legal bases. Confirm the applicable duration, issuing authority, and any tax treatment separately; do not assume every UD1 case receives a ten-year card or IFC tax relief.

What should be checked before a UD1 filing?
For sponsor-filed Form NA-02 cases, confirm whether the current route requires verified VNeID Level-2 access, identify the authorized filer, and reconcile identity, passport, travel, and sponsor details before submission. Also confirm the current document-authentication method and timing; IFC governing-authority processing is a separate channel.

Can a Vietnam UD1 principal bring family members?
Vietnam’s UĐ2 symbol is the dependent route associated with UĐ1 principals. Dependent residence does not itself establish work authorization, so each family member’s residence, documents, schooling, healthcare, and employment position should be checked separately.
