Standard Visa Pathways
If your profile does not align with UD1, that does not mean Vietnam is off the table. It usually just means a standard work, family, or investor pathway may be more appropriate.
Work Permit (LD)
The standard path for foreign employees in non-strategic roles. Requires full employer sponsorship and a specific labor quota approval.
Investor Visa (DT)
For business owners with local capital investment. Categories (DT1-DT4) are based strictly on the amount of charter capital registered.
Dependent Visa (TT)
For family members of current TRC holders. Grants residency but typically does not by itself grant work rights.
Tourist / E-Visa
For exploration only. This path provides zero residency rights and is legally prohibited for any form of professional work or remote management.
"Not qualifying for UD1 does not mean you are ineligible for Vietnam. It usually means a standard labor, family, or investor framework may be a better fit."
